Escribà
Conservation and restoration of stained glass since 1923

The Escribà pastry and confectionery shop on Barcelona’s Rambla has a totally modernist decoration from the beginning of the last century. Two panels of modernist stained glass were taken to the studio for conservation. The lead netting on the peacock window had to be replaced, as it was badly deteriorated and could no longer hold the glass securely. The second window was limited to the consolidation and reintegration of inadequate restoration pieces. The windows were returned to their original place and continue to enrich their surroundings.
