Conservation and restoration of stained glass since 1923

Casa Amatller is a modernist building in Barcelona adjacent to Casa Batlló and near Casa Lleó Morera, designed by the architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch between 1898 and 1900. The three buildings form what is known as the Apple of Discord.
Since 1960, the house has depended on the Amatller Institute of Hispanic Art, a foundation created by the descendants of the photographer Antoni Amatller. It was declared a historic-artistic monument on January 9, 1976.
During 2015-16, work was carried out on the restoration of the main floor where the family’s collection of furniture, paintings and glass is kept.
The Amatller House has the original lamps and sconces, many of them with stained glass windows. The central courtyard is covered by a complex skylight made by the Espinagosa workshop.
